My classes are centred around curiosity – curiosity for the present moment, the physical sensations of our bodies, the deeper currents of thought and emotion, and the flow of energy that moves through every living thing. I believe that in the rhythm of conscious breath and intentional movement we feel more present; more alive; more connected to the world around us, and more in touch with our true self.
It can be tempting to chase the 'perfect' pose and ignore how it truly feels, and this can be unsettling for your nervous system, or even lead to physical injury. My goal is to empower students — from total beginners to advanced practitioners — to understand each pose and transition, and move in a way which is nourishing and nurturing for body and soul. In my classes I aim to create a space where it is safe to tune into what is actually happening in your physical body and your inner world; to be curious without judgement; to let go of any sense of performance and step into embodied awareness.
VINYASA: a playful exploration, and an invitation into intentional movement and embodied awareness, with creative sequencing, thoughtful transitions, and carefully curated playlists to set the mood.
HATHA: slow-burn magic; a chance to experience the alchemy of holding poses for longer. Hatha empowers you to journey inwards and harness the power of breath to experience the flow of prana/energy.
MEDITATION: the gift of the present moment — not an escape from reality but a deep-dive into here and now — with a focus on mindfulness, guided meditations and nature-inspired visualisations.
